Reverse Osmosis Systems
 
Reverse osmosis is the process of removing ions, molecules and larger particles from drinking water with the help of semipermeable membranes. During the treatment, pressure is applied to the raw water in order to overcome the osmotic pressure. Reverse osmosis is widely used in industrial processes because it can remove many types of suspended and dissolved particles from water. As a result, the solute is retained on the pressured side of the membrane and the pure solvent passes to the other side.
